Education cannot stand still; it must always move forward keeping abreast of modern developments and fitting youth for life in an ever-changing world. For this reason its aims and its methods

Bre sometimes misunderstood.

The main objective of Education Week is to

bring parents and guardians particularly and the public generally into closer contact with the achpole,

the teachera and the children in order that their

work and achievements, their problems and difficul- ties and their everyday life may be seen and appreciated .

Your interest in Education Week, your visite to the schools, the concerts and the displays will help in no smell measure, not only towards the

euccess of this endeavour but also as a stimulus to greater efforts in the future.

I hope this will be as much your Week as it is the pupils' and that there will be mutual enjoy-

This School of printing was founded in the year 1804 by

the Fathers of the Catholic Mission. Since 1927 it has been

organised by the Salesian Fathers.

The Director of Education acknowledges with much pleasure

the generosity of the Superior, Father Clifford, for printing this programme entirely free of charge.
